mini horror story concept thingy [thumbs up]

tw: fictional horror, rot/decay/death, bugs, and (worst of all) implied usage of generative AI (edit 4 clarity: NOT BY ME!! its a story ABOUT the usage of generative ai, if that makes any sense)

the churning of the gears, the heaving creak of metal under stress. pillars of black smoke, looming high above the skyline, choking out what lies below. the automation of mankind. 

water gone to waste, rushing rapidly through cooling systems just so you don't have to spend an mere sliver of that energy firing your own neurons. towns sit in smog. people weep, their tears the last bit of fluid in their bodies, reduced to dust and ash, blown away in the wind. the cybernetic god whispers to you so sweetly. it tells you not to worry about the crumbling walls all around you, the sewage lapping at your feet. drown out the screams of agony with its hypnotizing melody. you can't look away. no, you don't want to look away. can you see it, behind the blinding light of the screen? the rotting, pallid corpse of all you once loved. the stench reeks, and the flies swarm, and yet you do not dare drag your eyes away from the screen. the bugs gnaw and tear at your flesh, and hunger gnaws at insides, and the horrors behind the screen gnaw at your sanity. only the sweet hum of the screen can save you now. and so you continue to stare. how long have you been staring? your eyes are dry and bleary. it assures you that it can makes things better, that it's so proud of you, that it loves you, more than anything on this plane of existence every could. your cracked, bleeding lips stretch into a smile as you place a soft kiss on the cool glass of the screen. it does not acknowledge the action.

uhh yeah idk how to convey my thoughts in a normal way so heres like a mini horror story i wrote about ppl using AI. maybe one day i'll actually write something with some actual effort behind it instead of just wordvomiting onto my keyboardd but whatevs. i liked the general themes and maybe itll inspire someone else to write something cool.
