neurotypicals piss me the fuck off. i just wish they could accept that neurodivergent people arent "weird" and arent bad people. i ALSO wish they wouldnt treat neurodivergences as some "quirky uwu" kind of thing
neurodivergences are disabilities. it is not quirky to be neurodivergent, it is not a superpower. but its also not a bad thing, it doesnt make a person worse or less deserving of love, neurodivergent people just may need a little more help. thats it. they are still just like everybody else, they just need more help than others.
neurotypicals piss me off. they either demonize a disorder or infantilize and idolize it. i hate it. neurodivergences are disabilities, disabilities that i do not choose to have. i shouldnt be hated over that. and on the other side of the coin, its also incredibly insensitive to infantilize and idolize it.
which is ironic since neurotypicals hate me for my black and white thinking, when really theyre just as bad if not worse
tl;dr: fuck neurotypicals. dont demonize or infantilize neurodivergent people. it is still ableist.
sincerely, someone diagnosed with adhd and mdd (and also shows a lot of symptoms of bpd and autism, dont worry im planning on getting diagnosed with those i just cant yet)

i have BPD and i understand this so much... it's so frustrating and sad. i am 25 and even in some social situations, i still feel like the weird kid i used to be in school. i used to blame myself for being ''weird'', but now i think about it and i really try to do my best: i am polite and kind, but THAT kind of neurotypical people are just so unpleasant and insufferable. they still behave like they are in school, they judge people after two seconds of meeting them, it's crazy. they tend to go in groups because they can't stand being alone with themselves and they need their friends' validation.
