When Love and Engineering comes together

Hallo :D, sure it's been a while since i wrote a blog "nobody reads em anyway". Today i'm talking about the most insane cars back in the 2000s, either non/road legal cars, concepts or even race cars soooo LET'S BEGIN.

WE ARE STARTING WITH THE ONE AND ONLY, THE CAR THAT KICKSTARTED THE TREND OF RAW POWER.

THE BUGATTI VEYRON:

La Bugatti Veyron 16.4 : le prix de l'excellence - StagesPointsPermisThis car was built for one purpose, BEING THE FASTEST ROAD CAR IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Built for pure comfort and straight line speed, the bugatti Veyron when it released, was the fastest road car in the whole world by breaking the 400km/h barrier, charged with a W16 "16 cylinder in W not V" 8.0 Quadri-turbo, yes 4 damn turbos and 16 radiators explaining the 16.4 in the engine, all of this was the idea came from Ferdinand Piëch "i talked about him on the Phaeton blog" wanting to make a revival of Bugatti since it died "again" in the 80-90s, and the car being his vision of the future aka fastest car on the planet without compromising luxury and practicality, the '05 model aka the first output 1001hp and 1250 NM of torque and in the most powerful version "Super Sport" it outputs 1250hp and 1500NM of torque yeeeaaahhh they asked Michelin to make special tyres for this car.

NOW WE ARE CONTINUING WITH SOMETHING NOBODY ASKED FOR, THE DIESEL ENGINE.

THE V10/V12 TDI AND DOMINANCE IN LEMANS 24H:

Back in the day, the Diesel engine wasn't the most optimal one to use because of his issues like the EXTREMELY LOUD NOISE, lack power while being torquy, the insane amount of pollution both noise and visual because of the smoke. But in the 90s and early 2000s the constructors managed to make the diesel engine more usable than being a tractor, with the addition of turbos increasing the amount of power, catalytic converter limiting the amount of dangerous particles made by the engine and injectors controlled by ECU for less pollution and more efficiency, seeing this Volkswagen AG had the funni idea of...making a V10 Diesel2008 Volkswagen Touareg v10 TDI - Featured Diesel SUV - Diesel Power MagazineOnly mounted in the Touareg and the Phaeton "check the phaeton blog" sure despite the issues with the engine "unreliable asf" they didn't back down and they released out of nowhere a V12 TDI on the Q7 outputting 507hp and 1000nm of torque from a v12 6.0 BiTurbo diesel engine, they had to make a special gearbox to support this amount of torqueMoteur diesel : voici le plus gros et le plus puissantAs Kimi Räikkönen said when he got a penalty for crossing the line at pit entry "FOR WHAT" well all i can say is probably pride and anger released by a man named Ferdinand Piëch. After Audi won the 24h of Lemans in 2006, They decided to make a derived engine from the R10 TDIAudi R10 TDI ends début season undefeated | Audi MediaCenteryeah this thing right above ^^ and after that, the Diesel engine became unstoppable by dominating the LMP1 category and even shared by another Diesel engine user PEUGEOT "French Team" with the 908 HDI FAP: Peugeot 908 HDi FAP - WikipediaSad that the diesel engine was banned when the HYPERCAR category started pfft they are no fun the FIA >:( being the last diesel engine used in the R18 (2016) but couldn't beat the Porsche 919 Hybrid.

NOW TIME FOR THE FRENCH TO SHINE A LITTLE WITH A SMOL HATCHBACK WITH A BIG ASS V6

The RENAULT CLIO V6

Renault Clio V6 RS - WikipediaRenault wanted to create another "R5 TURBO" for their competition "Trophy" to promote the OG Clio 2, yeah there are no 86 solutions on how to promote a car, want to make a car look cool ? make it look fast, see easy ? Anyway the 1st version of the car was built by TWR " a F1 Team" in Sweden with the engine and the OG car. Well it turned out to be bad, the car was technically very dangerous because of how lightweight it is, the chassis not being ready to support this amount of stress and the snaps of oversteer because of the weight ratio being stupidThis Renault Clio V6 Trophy is a fun, French track weapon for $70K - Hagerty MediaNamed "La Phase 1" it didn't work out well, Renault decided for the face-lift model "the one in the title" aka "Phase 2" to be built in Dieppe, a place in France where Alpine used to make their cars. The car turned out to be pretty solid but still has the snaps of oversteer because of the heavy v6The Renault Clio V6 Started Life As A Ferrari-Engined Twingo | CarscoopsIn the pre-facelift model it output 230hp and 306 NM and in the Post-facelift it outputs 255 and 300NM, btw this engine was made in collaboration with Peugeot-Citroen, it can be found in nearly every sedan being: Peugeot 607-407-406, for Citroën C5-C6-C8 and Renault Laguna 2 and the Clio v6 while the Vel Satis has a detuned version of the 3.5 V6 from the 350Z Nissan. Sadly the car wasn't a great success because of the issues from the pre-facelift and the price, for the same price you can get a Boxter, used 911, Z4 or even German sedan. Now the car is pretty rare to find the post-facelift model because they are well made.

NOW IT'S TIME FOR A FRENCH CONCEPT, A MINIVAN WITH A F1 ENGINE.
A Minivan Powered by Formula 1 – The Renault Espace F1 - DylerYeah, you heard me right, a Minivan with a V10 engine from a F1 car, sure i'm cheating it's not 2000s, it's 1994 but it's still crazy something like this exists. in 1994 Renault wanted to celebrate the 10 years of their Minivan "Renault Espace" and the success of Williams in winning the Championship with a french driver "Alain Prost" so they gathered engineers from Matra "a manufacturer bought by Renault" and Williams aka the F1 team that uses Renault RS engines "they won multiple championships" Williams FW15CThey literally took the engine from this without detune or anything and shoved in a minivan with wings everywhere. The engine is a V10 3.5 N/A outputting 780hp and the best part in all of this is it has 4 places.Retour vers le futur avec la Renault Espace F1 de 1994 | Moniteur AutomobileSo you can drive with 4 people in a V10 powered minivan for the fun. They wanted to make a Safety car but it didn't happen for 26565 reasons being starting the engine, the endurance, the well being of the safety car driver because if you didn't know the safety car needs to be On all the time because so having a screaming engine at your head without turning it off yeaaahhh doesn't sound good, but the car is PHENOMENAL and it's working the car actually drives, you can check online.

GIVE THE JAPANESE A CHANCE WITH THE SUPERCAR KILLER

Buying Guide: The Nissan GT-R R35 Is an Overlooked Supercar Fighter - InsideHookMy favorite japanese car in the whole world. Back in 2007 after Nissan got purchased by Renault "yeah they bought everything" because they were in a horrible financial situation, sure they had the R34 GTR and 350Z but that wasn't enough to make to company live. Anyway Nissan wanted to make a successor of the one and only "Godzilla" sure Godzilla was the R32 but it's still the same car nothing has changed really:

undefinedI will talk about this car one day because it was technically a race car on road with many MANY racing tech in it. Anyway the RB26DETT that powered the GTR R34 has been replaced with the VR38DETT which is technically an evolution of the engine with using experience from racing series like the GT1 category and the JGTC and respecting the tradition of tuning, the R35 can easily be tuned to output more power either for personal reason or for official racing series like the JGTC "rebranded Super GT now". The car is fast, like REALLY fast, being extremely fast and cost the same as any supercar released back then, the engine is a BiTurbo V6 3.8 outputting in it's first model 470hp and in it's powerful version it can unleash 710hp, btw i have a lot of facts to say: Nissan humiliated Porsche on the Nurburgring by beating literally the track focused version GT2 RS 911 (997) back in 2010, Porsche said "naah you are cheater you bastards" and they literally sent them the pictures of the tyres used to set the lap time. Another one is the graphics on the screen of the GTR R35 are made in collaboration with Polyphony Digital, yes the same person who made Gran Turismo

Nissan GT-R Apple Carplay Upgrade — Connected Car SolutionsAnd for the fun, you can record your driving with a USB key driving on a race track and watch your own ghost driving on Gran Turismo 5.

OOF i talked too much today, but i can't stop myself, i just love cars and the mechanic behind it, maybe i can talk more about other cars one day, so for now SEE YEA ^_^
