12/6:
Over the past couple of days, I've been catching up on the 13th Doctor. S11 was just as boring as I remembered. Most of it was incredibly slow and just not interesting. I dropped the show mid-way through S11 back when it first aired, and I struggled to finish it this time around too. S12 was an improvement. The stories were more entertaining, and I think it started to feel like Doctor Who again. Having just finished S12, I think 13 ranks as my third or fourth favorite incarnation of The Doctor now and the "new" incarnation of The Master ranks just behind Missy as my favorite version; would love to see more of him. I hope the current series continues to be an improvement (no spoilers pls! I just started it 😸).
I want 13's run to end on a better note than it started. The same thing happened with the 12th Doctor. I didn't like him in his first series at all but he grew on me in his second and I loved him in his third; he's now my favorite Doctor. For comparison, I loved both 10 and 11 immediately.
Update (12/7):
Series 13 was okay. It really felt like something from the Moffat era; although it did feel a bit "scattered" and unfocused at times. There were more than a few plot holes, a lot of underdeveloped characters & storylines, and a lot was left unanswered or just swept under the rug in the end. Overall, though, I enjoyed the ride. Series 12 & 13 were both improvements over series 11. 13 is still my 3rd favorite Doctor though (10 & 11 are tied for 2nd).
Just for fun, here's my rankings of the Doctor's (I've only watched 2005-Now)
- 12
- 11/10 (these two constantly switch so I just say they're both "2nd" favorites)
- 13
- 8
- War Doctor
- 9

Have you ever watched the OG Doctor Who? I haven't watched much of the reboot. Maybe half of the first season. Just not a lot of time in life, but I grew up watching the original series. Give the 4th Doctor (Tom Baker) a try. I think he's the best. Love the floppy scarf and major afro. Best personality too. You ever watch Red Dwarf?
I've watched a bit of the old stuff, mostly a few of Tom Baker's stories with Sarah Jane. I've heard of Red Dwarf but haven't watched it.
