Malaysia

As much as I love the country, the culture and the food here, I absolutely despise the close-minded people here. I wish people here aren’t so hateful towards the LGBTQ+ community, I don’t think I’m apart of them but the hate I’ve seen and heard about them here is crazy. 

Everyone here looks down on anything different, anything that makes you less ‘normal’. Okay yes, I listen to rock, yes, I love emo/goth culture but what’s wrong with that? People here are allergic to having their own personality.

They ONLY follow trends. I’d get weird looks when I saw that I listen to MCR a few years ago and now it’s trending and suddenly everyone’s a fan of them? I was called weird for that!!

I know that they’re just following whatever the religion says but can’t you be…nicer? Less hateful? What’s wrong with actually treating people with kindness here?? People here are allergic bullies and close-minded it’s crazy.

Wish this would change. Malaysia is such a beautiful country :///
