Hostility towards new fans

why people sometimes treat new fans like inferiors cuz they dont know shit yet and they aint the seniors or idk? man, i be baiting people to become fans of some media, being so excited to show them all the good stuff or give em all the good tips and remarks on stuff they didnt notice, im happy when people discover something im passionate about, gate keeping aint a thing for me, i'm forcing your ass into taking a look at the shit i deem to be nice, or "things that would appeal to your taste" because that's mostly what i recommend to people, im aware they may not like all i like

this was inspired by the DMC new fans hate, me being a new fan, although i never received hate, i seen it happen, ain't nothing bad about getting into the franchise just bc you thought dante was cool af, some may deem it as "superficial interest", but god damn it man, you gotta start somewhere on the surface, of course, idk all the deep lore yet, i just like the whacky woo-hoo pizza man, or i liked the battle theme, or the name seemed rad. anything is a valid reason honestly, bc in the end, we'll be subjected to the same piece of media, and we must not judge eachothers perception of it, for it is an insult to individuality itself (lying ass bitch im gonna judge you 24/7 if you think dante ACTUALLY likes pizza instead of acknoweledging that bro is too broke to afford anything else, think, lil bro, think)
