☆★ KPOP DEMON HUNTERS EXTENDED THOUGHTS✮★

(SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!)

Okay so after everything that’s gone down internet wise the past two weeks I've collected some of my thought here- (mostly on KPOP demon hunters- but whatever) 

I🌕🛸)My first and biggest Question is the whole… yk…. SOUL STEALING THING??? ˚.⋆🔭

I feel like it isn’t expanded on enough, even though i love the movie, it almost trivializes this aspect of what Gwi-ma does. He kills so many people, like- idek if you’ve noticed- but if Jinu hadn't sacrificed him self, basically the whole of Seoul-or-whatever would’ve DIED. or would they have? Speaking of Jinu, How do he and the other demons feel about what they’re doing??? We know that all demons where once human, which means they must feel some type of way about harvesting souls, because even though we see demons consuming souls in the movie, we can only assume they’re all fed to Gwi-ma, as we see later in said movie, and as we are told more than once in said movie. How does Gwi-ma manipulate the demons? Does he to it by turning them towards him or away from help. ( i actually came up with this during a shower, so forgive me if it isn't a good explanation)

By turning them towards him, i mean that i wonder if Gwi-ma uses the fact that he has power to give the demons a morale boost almost- 

“Remember~ I’m you’re supreme overlord you have to give in to me~”, making them want to work for him. 

Or, a more interesting approach, picture you’re a new demon, you just swallowed your first soul for Gwi-ma: 

“You. Just. Killed. A. Man. How wicked you are. How Horrendous. What now?? No one will ever save you now. No one will ever accept you again. Your Only choice is me.” Gwi-ma turns you away from ever seeking help, to be free of him.  I think option two would be best because Gwi-ma just WANTS the demons to feel shame, even if they have to consume souls to live, and not all go to Gwi-ma, his philosophy is still. “If they have nothing to be ashamed of, take anything, and make it a shame.” And so you keep living under Gwi-ma’s reign for all eternity, with each soul you eat eating you (in guilt).

🪐What happened to the souls on the train anyways? ☆

The obvious answer is that Gwi-ma absorbed them but what does it mean? Is it like how when we eat food and turn it to proteins and if we explode we don't find any food coming out of us like: oh she exploded now there's her hot dog!! in perfect condition!! Were the souls fully part of Gwi-ma?? If so, then even when he explodes, they aren't freed are they??? I’d hope they are, because if not then this is so sick and twisted- It’d  be a rude awakening if they were though, right?  Although I’m sure that most dead ppl “went missing” there HAVE to be one or two demons who messed up and so people just died in front of their family's faces. Can you imagine finally getting your soul back, and being all like 

“Mann i feel like i slept for a week- bonks head on some super-low ceiling- AM I SIX FEET UNDERGROUND?!?!?!?” or even waking up to:  

“we were going to take you off life support but you’re back somehow????!?!??” and they're all hugging you and crying and the last thing you remember was updating your stan account on twitter. Oh! As i'm writing I've decided that they all use threads in this world and everything is at peace.

💫 Also, on the topic of souls, the soul which is the hot topic right now is JINU’s. ☄️

There are heaps of different answers as to where he resides now, but I have a theory.

Well two theories. Stay with me. Firstly, I don’t believe that when demons die, they are sent back to hell UNLESS it’s the hunters who kill them. To elaborate, I think that every force in the KDH universe has some level of good or evil. For example, even though the hunters are powered by demons, they are also powered by the love of humanity, and  humanity’s love for them. They are ultimately a force of good, so they can’t actually fully kill the demons- only a force of real evil could. This is where Gwi-ma comes in, the other boys might be in hell, but Jinu is dead. He is dead because Gwi-ma, a force of pure evil, killed him.  there’s no coming back if a force of pure evil kills you.

But there’s still hope for Jinu, because he gave his soul to Rumi.

Now, we don't really know what that means yet. Could he be in the sword? Can he fully communicate through said sword? Or is it like when Elena was trapped in that damn amulet (for those who dk sofia the first, all she could do was point out where Sofia went wrong by cursing and un-cursing her occasionally, essentially, she was nonverbal.) Is he just within some dormant part of rumi waiting to come out when he has a good vessel? I KNOW he wouldn’t possess her bc he’s too good for that. But a fic with thing like rumi looking on and being all like: 

“sometimes i can feel my heart tugging me towards something i wouldn't walk to, maybe that's him” 

AUGHHHH IM ALREADY SOBBING GET ON IT FIC WRITERS!!

Anyways.
