i've just reread dostoyevski's 'gambler' for the nth time. do you have any recommendations that will make me feel the same things that book did? i'm all up for characters who let their passion get the better of themselves.

personally im not a big fan of russian literature. Because they keep dragging everything and talk nonstop about stuff. For example MC see a bird and thinks of a childhood memory that takes 10 pages to finish. Back in soviet they were getting paid by every page they wrote , so they just be yappin lol
