I had a dream about a clock.

I've practically become nocturnal in recent days. My time when the sun is up is restricted to the early morning as I, in a sisyphean task, continually attempt to stay awake for the rest of the day to come.

Today I watched Heavy Metal, as I reached an hour into the movie I could feel my eyelids shut on their own, I decided I didn't want to end up falling asleep during the movie so I paused it and decided I would watch the last 30 minutes when I woke back up. When I slept it was vivid, very much so.

It was one of those dreams where you had full control of yourself but not the world around you. In this dream my house was the same, and there was this clock. Digital, made of metal. I recognize it now because it really is in my home. Except this time it was on a wall, next to the dining table. I looked into it and I realized that clock had existed in previous dreams. I recognized it not just from real life but from my own mind.

As for the rest of the house it seemed to be a perfect recreation, the only part that was visibly inaccurate was strangely enough my room... I could touch the clock, interact with it. And then when I adjusted the date on it, the world around me adjusted too, but the house stayed the same. I turned it back to the 1960s for an indiscernible reason and then I was there, the place I was had lots more trains outside and there were and so on. Eventually I got chased by a cop for doing... something, no clue what, and ended up running through an apartment complex which looked almost just like one I moved into a long long time ago.

I don't think I ever made it back to that clock, if I did, I didn't turn it back to anywhere but the modern day. Now I wonder if I really can go back with that clock in my living room, and if I did, would I even like it?
