My Reptiles! :)

Heya! I talk about my reptiles a handful on here so I figured I oughta show'em!

^^ This is Frappuccino! He's a Leopard Gecko, were his third home, so we can only guess he's around 10 or more years old... he's currently having some eye issues and were administering vet prescribed ointment to his eyes, so dude isn't very pleased recently, but he'll live :P
He doesn't do a whole bunch, which, is typical, but he's getting a bigger thank soon with more room, more things, and deeper substrate. Fun! Hang in there, Frappe!

^^ This is Kave (kah-vay)! He's a uromastyx, a uromastyx geyri specifically I believe... I am also his third home... first he was with a breeder, then someone who got him from a breeder, and then I met his third owner at my work, and, long story short, they were NOT properly taking care of this guy. When I got this guy, our breaded dragon, Macchiato, had just unfortunately passed due to many issues, but she was old and had a good life. I still miss her a lot. Anyways, I had an open 4x2x2 (120g) tank open and offered to take him in and help another animal. When we got to the previous owners house, he was in a tank not much bigger than him, rotted tail scales, a mixture of rotting food, poop and sand at the bottom of his tank, and the plastic ontop literally melting in on him... horrific.
Now, to be completely honest, I was a "bit" more under prepared to take him than I first realized, as these guys a fucking finicky as hell, but he was already in a much better place, more space, and eating much better. He HATED us when we first took him in, and honestly? He still kinda hates us... but a wee less. These guys, unlike all of my previous reptiles, is prey in the wild and not a preparator by any means. The defensive tail spikes are a dead giveaway! Ontop of that, he was clearly abused for lack of better words by likley all of his previous owners. Seeing as lizard brain is a thing, I assume he will probably always be untrusting, but, we have made some progress, he ate out of my hand for the second time ever recently, before changing his mind and going away.  And I mean, hey! look at the photo above! he sat still in our hands for... a moment! xD
He's getting a new enclosure soon as well, im in the process of mixing his substrate and treating it atm, and itll have a sliding glass door so hopefully we dont spook him *AS* much as reaching from above. Small steps people!!
Thanks for coming to my... uh.. blog! See you soon! <3
