Jasmine

Roots, shoots, weave their way
through dark ravines, crevices
expelled from the pits of the earth
yielding tenacity beyond any point,
even Rock or a harder place
could not stop evolvement
in pursuit of warmth and light
alas! breakthrough, to Sapphire skies
the once tight-bud of darkness
blossoms, preening in its own beauty
exuding potent fragrance
Jasmine. pure white petals fall
and just like you, determined, unwavering
stuck by me through it all..
made me see the light
through tortured blindness
awakening the bud of my Soul,
blew breath into living death -
Until there was You...
