first blog !!! happy birthday stranger things 3 !!!

Hi!!! idk if anyones seeing this, probably not, maybe in the future. idk how this works tbh. yesterday ao3 was down so I spent those hours working on my layout for my profile- which I've been meaning to do for literally a year. procrastination to the max !!! XD I'm still not done but WORKING ON IT!!! today is the 4th of July and quite frankly im pretty disappointed in america rn so even if I didn't already hate most things about the 4th of July (aka fireworks. yea thats pretty much it I hate fireworks. what?? they're scary!! and overstimulating!!!)  I wouldn't be celebrating. what I AM celebrating though is the anniversary of my favorite season of stranger things!!! before you assume im just a lame general audience member let me defend my case. 

- robin. just robin. bonus points for robin's coming out scene which helped me with certain realizations as a 12 year old. and her dynamic with steve theyre so besties idc!!!!!! honestly scoops troop as a whole idk. erica!! dustin!!! pookies

- byler rain fight. didn't fully comprehend it when I was 12 watching the season the day it premiered. but wow. gay. dramatic. heartbreaking. need I say more??? 

- elmax!!! my babies I heart them nobody gets them like I do

- the vibessssss bro!!! okay I know this is a pretty weak argument. the other seasons definitely have better plots and lore and stuff. and they also have their own vibes that I love too. but idk I mean... I don't think anything can compare to the feeling of watching it the day it premiered, and how it made me feel. instead of watching fireworks with my family I stayed inside and watched stranger things and had wayyyyyy more fun than I would've had on a regular 4th of July. it was also the first season that I watched the day it came out. so maybe its nostalgia factor, idk... 

- hopper's speech. out of everything this is what really solidifies it for me. every word has so much meaning. it still makes me cry every time even knowing that hopper is alive. because even though its generally focused on hopper and el, it represents so much more. it represents the feelings of other characters too, the heartbreak that comes with growing up and watching others grow up too. "remember the hurt. the hurt is good. it means you're out of that cave. but please, for the sake of your dear old dad, keep the door open three inches." OWWWWWWWWWW 

so yes, even if stranger things 3 is probably oBjEcTivLeY the worst season, its my favorite and I love it. thank you for listening to my ted talk. or rather, reading it.
