⋆｡°✩ sewing with squiffy #1: upcycled baby doll top !

|˶˙ᵕ˙ )ﾉﾞ hello friends! welcome to a series i'll hopefully add to, sewing with squiffy! i am a beginner at sewing, and i'm just following tutorials i find on the internet lol. i'm still figuring out things and i'm learning with every project i take on so i hope you'll like witnessing my attempts at upcycling everything in my closet and making all sorts of sewn goodies!

for today's entry, i took a thrifted turquoise polo and turned it into a baby doll top! i have ALWAYS wanted one of these, but i can't seem to find any in my size in normal stores or they're only sold on fast fashion sites (blegh. i've stopped purchasing fast fashion for a while, so getting a sewing machine encourages me to thrift more because i can alter things to my size now!)

i followed this tutorial, but made my own adjustments to make the skirt part shorter and fit as a top rather than a dress! i have yet to wear this as an outfit, but i will be sure to post pics if i do! maybe for the next project, i'll try to document the process more but as it is now, i sew pretty chaotically so i definitely will forget to do that lol!
