is what you get out of these sites REALLY worth it??? are you SURE it couldnt be substituted if you just put in the effort? because if not these companies are for sure getting the better end of the deal here. YOU ARE LOSING!!! youre getting lowballed and they arent even apologizing for it.

ughh and i get it its rough. these apps are modeled to reward content that keeps you on the app as long as possible so of course the content is gonna be good entertaining, but you can AT LEAST pick a better evil.

google is a scummy, money sucking company, but if you arent posting theyre much more limited in what they can feed into their generative ai tools. sure, they know what you watch, what you like, and can make pretty good guesses about what you think, but unless im missing something that data isnt very useful for training a generative ai, so as long as youve got a working adblocker they arent winning.

in my opinion the only service sites like tiktok and twitter especially offer thats actually irreplaceable is current information. if something happens these sites get the info first, whether it be important news, game updates, music, whatever. nobody is reading the newspaper. nobody SHOULD read the newspaper its completely useless nowadays and probably controlled by genocide supporters. how else do people get information? i actually dont know and need ur help how do i find out whats going on??? like at all.

so yeah all this to say ive OFFICIALLY made the move to cleanse some of this shit out of my life after a lot of hesitance. deleted a bunch of apps, accounts, i just wish i could delete the data but like thats not how this works thats internet 101.
