I think some of the websites that were ran with geocities had a certain charm to them, and one of the pages that were a fangroup actually introduced me to a artist that I never heard in my life, the artist is Thai and her name is ณัชชา สว่างเกียรติ (Natcha Sawatrakkiat).
I recommend listening to the album "More Than Words" by her.
But
yeah, I think we sadly lost that charm due to big corporations and the
flat designs, which sucked because I like when people had a special page
that suits them, I even saw one that had photos of people who were
running one website, who had a trip to Ecuador for a rave or something
like that.
Sorry if this sounded like I'm blabbering about nothing, I just like talking about things.
