My first blog entry! Yay!

It seems like a good time to finally put out my first blog entry. I say that because I (rather unexpectedly) started a new job today! At least it might be my new job, I'm not officially hired at the moment. I actually used to work this store a couple years ago, so it was mostly just getting a refresher on the quirks of the cash register. I've been looking for a job for the better part of a year now, so it's a relief to finally maybe have something. 

I figured I'd start off my blog entries with some good news because I'm going to be covering some not-so-good news in the coming days. My city's light metro system, the REM, is going to close in a few days until mid-August since they're extending the line to include new stations - which is great! I'm definitely going to take the REM to see the new stations once they're open. Unfortunately, the temporarily closure is still a pretty big inconvenience since it's the quickest way for me to get to this job. In my free time, though, I'm going to try and see what's going on over at the REM while they're testing the new line. I saw some trainspotting videos of some earlier tests of the new line and I would love to see it for myself.

Also, I ordered a mandolin a couple weeks ago and it should be coming in by the middle of the month, so I'm DEFINITELY going to be posting about that.
