HOW DO I COME OUT TO MY PARENTS (as a lesbian)

Basically my parents are very homophobic and i've asked them before what they think about the LGBTQ+ community and thry said that they don't really care about them but don't support them so i prolly won't be coming out to them at all honestly.

Lmao imagine coming out to your parents😭 (Heh.. If any lebanese creature is interested in me don't be scared and hit that button to be friends with me. Or more haha

the way I came out to my parents as trans was literally just an email because i was too scared to actually start up the conversation irl.
In the email i also provided definitions of the terms (at least for demiboy, because i knew that they wouldn't know what that it), I also linked it to the lgbtqia+ wiki for even more information. I also linked websites that explain how to support me with the change and all of that.

i mean it didn't work, but that's just because they're transphobic.

considering that you know your parents don't particularly support LGBTQIA+, i would honestly say that you don't need to come out to them, and staying in the closet can be a whole lot better if it means you'll be safe that way.

It's unfortunate that your parents don't support you either, but i'll consider your advice to keep it hidden. ❀‎ܓ(。◠ ꇴ ◠。 )

Always remember that you're not obligated to come out to anyone for any reason. Personally, I'd say only to come out to your parents if it's safe to do so. What I mean by that is if your mental health won't suffer or you won't have to worry about being kicked out after the fact. This can be a big deal, so being scared or intimidated is completely normal! If you do choose to go through with this, rehearse what you want to say, and then find a moment where you're all settled in together. You can also leave a note for the to find somewhere, if speaking face to face turns out to be too much. Good luck! Rotting for you!
