no for real, ur right. my biggest issue with school in the USA is the lack of curriculum focusing on topics that NEED to be addressed alongside academics (mental health? relationships? finances? bills and taxes?). also, i really believe teachers should see students not as reckless dumb kids but for who they are - an important contribution to society who is simply in the growing phase, learning, exploring, and deserves to be respected/treated as such. I'm saying this as someone who is currently an elementary educator and in uni to get my esl teaching degree, lol. here's to young people making a better future
