Opinion Towards Nickelodeon's Decision to SpongeBob SquarePants After Stephen Hillenburg Died

Nickelodeon started to make a spin-off series from SpongeBob SquarePants which caused so many criticsm and controversy due to what Stephen Hillenburg did not want it to happen. Despite of his past reservation, they made multiple spin-off series like Camp Coral and The Patrick Star Show. Many SpongeBob fans didnt like against those and have seen it as a disrespect towards Stephen Hillenburg himself.
As far as i know he expressed a strong reservation about spin-offs and crossovers because he wanted it to focused on its core characters and universe. Yet Nickelodeon did it.

Nickelodeon made 'Camp Coral' which tells about SpongeBob and his friends going camping. This makes the first meeting between SpongeBob and Sandy confusing since the real version of their first meeting which Stephen Hillenburg has made in the Tea At the Treedom episode, when Sandy got into a fight with a big seashell. They both met and shared their love for a material art called Karate.

I can see SpongeBob SquarePants was made with love clearly, its different from modern SpongeBob SquarePants. SBSP had real jokes and not just physical banter between characters...NGL thats weirded me out. I used to think harder for the jokes on that show, which makes the show funnier and more interesting. I cant even do it now, Nickelodeon mostly just use unnecessary physical jokes and banter LITERALLY EVERYTIME and ts pmo bro.
Nickelodeon only continues SBSP due to it impacts their income alot, like for real we cant even enjoy SpongeBob SquarePants the same anymore because it was made not merely for money but to actually get enjoyed.

ICL The Patrick Star Show pisses me off sb, that show looks so forced. Probably they try to attract old audiences but it ended up pissing them off more. IMO The Patrick Star Show is unnecessary and just made for their income. Thats not even fun and makes my ass cringe. Even my 10 years old sister agrees lol.

I prefer the season 1-3 of SBSP artstyle, its so classic and original. Season 4-9 of SBSP were also great as well. Nevertheless, i would be lying if i say the artsyle of modern SpongeBob SquarePants is bad. Its adorable and colorful (it is the only thing that is good from modern SpongeBob to me though awokawokawokawok) i never hate the artsyle and animation of SpongeBob SquarePants. I just dislike the modern story of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Last, this blog was written based in my opinion, except the first 2 paragraphs. I summarized it from several online articles and blogs. Id love if you leave a comment about your opinion toward this show too.
RIP Stephen Hillenburg.

This is literally Nickelodeon fr

I do agree that the spinoffs suck, and I'm NOT trying to defend Nick... BUT, stephen hillenburg only said he didn't see a spinoff happening. Not that he hated the idea. ALSO, he knew about camp coral before he died. I also hate Nick, but I hate the fact that people think Stephen didn't like spinoffs.

I remember a video on YouTube that I watched talking exactly about this topic and it’s called “Stop Using Stephen Hillenburg” I suggest you give it a watch.

Spongebob has been milked by Nickelodeon so much, it’s not even funny anyone, they cancelled great shows just for Spongebob. Plus Spongebob isn’t even that funny anymore, it’s unoriginal and unfunny.

spongebob squarepants was unironically one of the best animated shows ever created. the first few seasons are truly funny, inspiring, attractive to look at, clever and even smart at times, and so clearly produced out of passion and love. i hate it so much and i don't understand it, that every show, ever, needs to be dragged on like a corpse, rebooted three times, have spin-off series with characters that only work in conjuction with other characters... it's just. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Personally, I don’t think SpongeBob should continue down the soulles route it has as of recent times either give it a new director or cancel it. Like the Simpsons it’s run its course and has run dry! Nickelodeon is essentially using the SpongeBob IP to make as much money as possible and conning the lore every turn. They use nick-at-night as just a SpongeBob re-run channel and much less of cartoons and shows meant for a tween to teenage audience and I LOVE SpongeBob I have a SpongeBob blanket on my wall yet I can’t stand to watch any of it due to remembering almost every episode up to season 10 because of how many times it has repeated on cable, it’s sad to know the original sponge is dead but it is and the show should get canceled.

real, as a fan of spongebob, i think they should end the serie already, when Stephen left the project temporally u could see the low of quality on the period where he didnt work, Stephen was what made it super famous and im sure that theres no need to make more episodes when the ones that were already made by him were so iconic and memorable, the animation on camp coral is really cute and so are the movies, i like them i wont deny, but idk, i think at least the new episodes AND the spin offs are not neccesary
