Looking at some of my replays (specifically my Tekken 7 rank grind with A.K (Vanquisher btw)), it seems like I still have my habit of wanting to keep the pressure and constantly attempting to subdue my opponent. Whether I attempt to jab at round start or try to DF+1 at the wall, I get punished (and rightfully so) for trying to keep the pressure. If I am going to continue with this mentality, I at least need to study A.K's frame traps into mix ups and his plus on block moves.
But let's not cope with this mentality and be codependent on these knowledge checks. I need to mold my way of thinking and consider my safe options rather than constantly pressure my opponent. I do want to say that I am not a masher, but I expect my opponent to fall for half of my oppression. An example such as F+3 [1+2] into D1,2 which allows me to go back into a neutral state with the opponent. Even at grab breaks I try to sidestep into a 2,1 or 1,2 jab which leaves me getting launched punished. I'll come back with some more detailed entries as time goes by, but for now I wanted to leave this here.
