Random Game blog daily || Day: 2

okay so i really wanted to actually play this game for the whole playthrough but as is the case with most old games, it just loses my attention! It gets boring and i feel like each level is a copy and paste of the last. Maybe i shouldve given it more time but anyways...

Todays game: Batman: Vengeance, the gamecube version released on November 18th 2001. This game is based on the TV series "The New Batman Adventures."

Starting off I read the manual as usual, it gives me the plot being that batman finds this damsel and saves her, but he gets all suspicious about or something and the story doesnt add up.
Anyways the game starts up and you dont really get an introduction or anything, it just tells you to set up a save file and tells you to name it...

Hell yes.

Anyways the game starts with this girl screaming for help, as she is tied up and GAGGED, yeah this game is pretty dark, especially for a T game. I guess times were different back then. So batman hears the commotion and it drops us into the move set tutorial, pretty easy stuff. We get to the girl and save her as she tells us theres a bomb and we flee from, it goes off and we barely escape the blast with this sick ass cinematic.

Anyways i guess we save here and find a letter from the Joker, its directed to her and says that her son is up for ransom and if she doesnt pay 5 million he will be HUNG BY A NOOSE???
Yeah this game is crazy.

We get back to the batcave and tell batgirl to run a background check as we do a fighting tutorial alfred has set up. After its done we return to batgirl and she says this girl is like a blank slate and has no background, her son may not be real. But batman pursues and we chase her on some rooftops after she gets kidnapped.
This is where i realized this games controls suck! The camera never turns where you want and jumping is a pain!!!

I really was enjoying the story but the gameplay is insufferable i dropped it right after this level. Grappling is a chore and not falling and going way back in the level is so easy to accomplish! Especially because its dark and the game barely tells you where to go. Overall the game wouldve been good if i was maybe playing on ps2, sadly i dont have the ps2 disc so yeah.
