I died, right in the heart
That’s not right
An unpleasant act
To feed the rats
Running around the subway
Empty, moldy, and underway from being forgotten
I stood there, chained to my body
Something now part of my ordinary
Death felt cold
Yet something not odd
Almost expected, or something i already felt
At the end of the tunnel, i saw a light
Coming from above, i couldn’t miss the sight
A little white head came to view
The rest of the body unknown to the brain
‘Hello’ I said
‘Hello’ It said
A silence was met
Dragged along the cement
‘What are you doing here?’ It asked
‘I died’ I replied
‘You are also chained?’ It asked
‘Yes’ I said
Another silence
It felt sliced
And thrown on the floor
For someone to ravish over
‘When did you die?’ i asked
‘A few years ago, this place is all i know now.’ it replied
I felt sympathy
Trapped for eternity
With the same symphony
‘How did you die?’ I asked
‘I wanted to’ It said
‘Why?’ I asked
It stayed silent
He was hesitant
‘The earth was giving up, we all saw it coming but no one did a cleanup. My faith was lost, it was really a self-lost’
‘So, you thought a rope would solve your problems?’ I asked
‘Yes, it only became a astroblemes’ it said
A scream was heard
Almost like a bird
Then a crash
Filling the cracks with ash
‘My sister saw this coming’ It said
‘What do you mean?’ I asked
‘She was a fortune, somehow tuned with the future. She could see anything, almost like a zing. She knew the future was dark, it would go with a spark. She tried to tell people, to the point it was a wheeple. But obviously, no one listened.’
I stared at them.
Another silence was met
‘How did you die?’ It asked
I sighed, unsure how it started
‘I was looking for a thrill, something to keep me well. I felt like I lost something important, almost a need or want. I was so close, but someone wanted to stop me’
It stared at the ground, it shook from the sound
Rocks were trembling, they were disassembling.
‘It’s over, isn’t it?’ I asked
‘Yes’ It said
The earth shook, it was mistook
I stared at it, it stared at me
We both knew the adventure was over, we reached the end of the rover.
thanks to A for giving me the idea
