I HATEEEE not looking Cool in front of other cool people.

I went to a resort this weekend with a indoor water park, arcade, tons of restaurants (the indoor waterparks walls were painted like a sky looked dope asf) and I saw so many people wearing band shirts like ,bring me the horizon, i set my friends on fire, etc bands like that. I was wearing the most basic fit ever (country looking Chevy shirt from Hollister, short tight black shorts, and white Nike dunks) and I walked past a scene girl who had a bomb ass outfit with dyed blonde and pink hair and these white furry rave boots, I said her outfit was "dope" and she looked at me weird and said "thanks..." in a very monotone way. idk I may have come off wrong or something but I was just trying to let her know she looks cool and ik my outfit was def not helping. Now to make it clear I didn't pack my bag and I kinda forgot I was going on the trip anyway so I wouldn't have had a bag packed anyways, so my mom packed my bag full of clothes she thinks looks good (Her style Is country and beige suburban). I looked like a dickhead fuckboy so she probably was thinking I was making fun of her. :/
