PTV RIDGEFIELD 6/23 🩷🩷🩷

GUYS. Soooo I officially went to my first-ever concert for my birthday. I’m surprised my parents let me go LOL. I guess I got it instead of a sweet sixteen…?

Anyway. I can’t begin to describe how amazing it was but I’ll try my best, starting with Beach Weather !!

Their set was SOOO good. Unfortunately I had forgotten to listen to all the songs on the setlist, but luckily I knew most of them. I had no idea Nick Santino was so good live, daaammnn. Somehow I knew they were gonna open with Chit Chat? I didn’t know what to expect obviously, since I’ve never experienced something like this before, but it was LOUD. Like rattle-your-brain-in-your-skull loud. In the BEST way possible. I felt like the music was literally pulsing through my veins. I don’t have a less corny way to describe it, sorry. But anyway-if you’ve never listened to Beach Weather, some songs I recommend are Dressing Room Tattoo, Hardcore Romance, and High In Low Places, all off their newest album. They’re not as hardcore as SWS or PTV, but they definitely offered more of a chill vibe before I had to scream my lungs out.

ANYWAY!!

Next part. Also, I went to Washington for this, which is not where I live so it was like a mini-vacation, and I might post about that later. But this entry is primarily focused on the concert, so stick around.

Okay, one sec. I feel like I’m going a little off the rails with how I’m describing the experience. I should probably talk about security and merch lines and all that. So to begin with, there were merch booths all over the place, BUUUUUT they were card-only. So we had to wait for my mom to get back from returning my studded belt to the car because the venue DIDN’T ALLOW THEM. Nor spiked jewelry. That kinda sucks, but at least I wasn’t depending on a belt to keep my shorts up lol. I got two sweatshirts and Doll Face shorts, which I will treasure for eternity. The total should’ve come out to like…$190 but the guy must have gotten distracted and only charged $43 dollars for one of the hoodies. Hey, $30 saved. :3

Enough about merch. I could talk about crowds and how I was practically jumping to see over people’s shoulders (they should make stools for short people at concerts lmfao) but that’s not interesting. What is interesting?

SLEEPING WITH SIRENS!!!! <3

Dude. I cannot express how vocally talented Kellin Quinn is. He overdid it omg. Which I’m sure nobody minded! If you got the talent, use it. But yeah, crazy stuff. The way he’s able to hit high notes…insane. And the screamsssss? On point. Nick Martin’s backup screams were also great. I found it funny that Kellin seemed to think we were in Portland until someone corrected him lol. Poor man must never know where he is. He proceeded to make a joke about how we were in ‘Oregashington’. What an icon. Also, he jumped into the crowd to hug someone before playing Better Off Dead. Honestly, the SWS set rivals Pierce The Veil’s because Kellin was just THAT good. I might post some videos on Instagram, cuz that show was breathtaking. But yeah. Absolutely incredible performance by Sleeping With Sirens. Nowww…for the main event.

I CAN’T HEAR YOU!!!!!!

The suspense for PTV was definitely mounting by the time SWS stepped offstage. Everyone took a bathroom break and waited for the show to kick off. They began with a really sick opening by playing Death Of An Executioner, which happens to be my favorite song off The Jaws Of Life. There is one thing I have to slightly complain about, and that is that they didn’t play all the songs they’ve played at previous venues, probably due to a curfew. Kind of sad that we didn’t get to hear Caraphernelia, Kissing In Cars, or Bulletproof Love. Cut all the Selfish Machines songs I see…but I still appreciate them playing this show for us, even while lacking some songs. Everyone went crazy when the opening guitar for Bulls In The Bronx started. Some of my highlighted songs would be Floral & Fading, I’d Rather Die Than Be Famous, Yeah Boy and Doll Face, and I’m Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket. Also LOVED the acoustic Today I Saw The Whole World as well as Wonderless. I’m super glad they chose to play some songs off A Flair For The Dramatic, cuz apparently they’ve been starving their fans of those for awhile lmaooo. I’m super glad that they happened to be some of my fav AFFTD songs too!! Lucky me. I feel like the concert was over as quickly as it started 🥲💔

I miss them already broooo

This has been a pretty looooong entry so I’m gonna end it here.

I LOVE PIERCE THE VEIL ❤️❤️❤️
