Karasuya

Karasuya was born in a small village in the Land of Lightning. He was feared by some of the villagers because he was followed by and could control crows (in their culture, crows were harbingers of death and chaos). He was the son of two merchants, and he himself was one. His mother wanted to be an astronaut but couldn't due to the country's prejudice against women. She always told Karasuya about stars, planets, and things of that nature, making him appreciate astronomy. After his parents' death when he was seven, he became a wanderer for about eight years to survive the war and to live in general without his parents. When he was fifteen, he was taken in by an old spadachin and became his apprentice (that was in the Blood Country). After a year in the Blood Country, he met Ryū Chi, the son of the Blood Country's emperor, for a mission where he needed to escort him to a meeting between the Blood Country's council and the emperor. They became friends, and after three years, they started dating against the emperor's will. They could only marry six years later, after the emperor's death, because he was opposed to their marriage, as he wanted more heirs to rule the country after his and his son's deaths. Ryū Chi became the emperor, and Karasuya became a samurai and Ryū Chi's personal guard. Seven years later, when both of them were thirty-two, a war between the Hurricane Nation and the Blood Country ignited the Wind God's rage, leading to him killing Ryū Chi on the battlefield. Karasuya, also enraged, went to the hidden country to make a pact with the Underlord (the God of the Underworld; let’s call him Underlord for short) so he could gain power and kill the God of Wind. The pact required Karasuya to give the Underlord a piece of the God of Wind's head or a jar of his blood when it was over; this was needed for a ritual since the Underlord's powers came from death, and the results of death were essential for his rituals for the supreme demon. The God of Wind was killed in a bloody and brutal battle won by Karasuya. Instead of completing the pact as he and the Underlord agreed, Karasuya returned to the Underlord's lair empty-handed and challenged the Underlord to a deadly battle, which he barely won. After that, Karasuya destroyed the remains of his lair and used one of the Underlord's rituals to obliterate the hidden country's government and ruler, taking the territory and building his own nation—Chisuraka. After establishing the nation, weary of everything and wanting to rest, Karasuya threatened one of the Lightning Country's engineers to build him a marionette to rule his country. With that, Karasuya set the marionette to rule and left for an island in the sky within his territory. There, he studied engineering with the books he secretly stole from the Lightning Country and built his own cyborgs to protect his fatherland, using the skin and organs of the people he had killed to construct them.

After all that transpired, the Sun and Hurricane nations formed an alliance to kill Karasuya, not knowing that the one in power was actually just a marionette.
