tsugumi ohba might not be taking advantage of death note

copying this from a post i wrote in a death note fan group so (hopefully) it reaches more people: 

it's been 22 YEARS since death note's manga first was released. it was a hit and people still love it. hes been working on many projects but the only one that worked is death note, and not releasing anything about it is infuriating. 

i understand that he considers the story and everything to be finished, and would like to explore more ideas than just death note deathnotefeeathnote. i get it. 

im just saying that, maybe once in a while (not once in a blue moon...), hed release an AU (for example, he metnioned in the how to read that if light hadnt picked up the death note hed meet L and work along with him. THEN HOW ABOUT MAKING AN AU WHERE THEY BOTH SOLVE A CRIME WITH THE TASK FORCE). 

DUDE, idk if im the only one who wants taht, but im not feeling FULL with the oneshots. in fact, i think we need more depth to Light's original character instead of Kira!Light.
