Kids being online

Every now and then I see people criticize kids for being on social media as if kids spaces online haven't silently vanished... I am turning 18 soon and I was raised with Animal jam and club penguin and other similar games coexisting and everything . .

Social media is 13+, arguably some of them should be 15+ imo, but yesterday I was updating my nekoweb page and i stumbled across a neocities post shitting on nekoweb because its full of... teenagers learning how to code? I didn't know being young was a sin...

Instead of focusing on parents giving kids internet access too early or there no longer being kids spaces online anymore, people are directing that hate directly onto the kids in question...? You are the damage that you complain about????

I'm not saying 'let the kids talk to you when youre 30' (ew..) I am saying 'kids have nowhere to go and your hate on them isn't productive'. I see young teenagers (13-15) be 'cancelled' online all the time!!! These kids are learning and you are teaching them to be afraid of mistakes. No one learns without making mistakes and you can't demand a 13 year old to be as mature as an 18 year old...

That's my opinion though...and even at our age we can make mistakes and learn from them... you are never too old to make a mistake and learn from it
