Tuesday June 24th 2025 A 15 year old man was shot outside a public pool.. My public pool.. it took Firefighter rescue vehicles around 15 minutes to show up.. ems around 20 to 30... The first responding officer was 2 or 3 minutes and the second was 5, within the hour they got 3 crime vans down and we were shut down. I can't feel my emotions and have never known how to show or express them well. I have been numb since it happened and people I would normally go to are no longer around.
I need to vent.. someone please help

🫂 I'm sorry. That sounds horrific
It was.. I was 20 feet away watching the water and we aren't trained to handle bullet wounds only spinal damage or if someone drowns or passes out.. we did what we could we kept him alive until emergency services arrived but he passed away after getting to the hospital and.. half of us think we failed while the other half think it was ems that did.. but we all started working and have kept working during it.
