Heyyy sorry for disappearing again. Life happened, in both good and bad ways.
Starting with the good, I got my first, actual job! I'm becoming a train conductor! Whoa!!
The company I'm working for is offering paid courses for the position, which you have to go through to get a conductor license, so I'm attending those now and I'll be for the next 3 months or so. The instructors are very friendly, we're all taken care of even when it comes to housing and meals. It's kind of like going back to uni, but way less stressful and with a monthly pay. It's also closer to my boyfriend's new home, who moved to the same region to finish his studies.
The bad: I had to move to the other part of the country to be close to my workplace and the classes are held even further away, basically near the Alps. It's been a very stressful month since I only had one week to move out after the end of my previous contract. I'm currently living in the first apartment we could find in the vicinity of the workplace, which is not great: there is no contract, so I could get evicted any day now, the bed I'm sleeping on is broken and in my room the furniture is just a bed and a clothes rack. At least, I only spend the days I'm not following courses here, since for most of the week I have an hotel room booked where I study which is much more comfortable.
I've been thinking about working for public transport since I can remember, so I guess this is a good career choice for me. I'm very curious to know where it'll lead me.
I have some more art to post, so stay tuned for that. So until next time, ciao!

Good for you! I once had a colleague trade neckties with a Trenord conductor. I'm still jealous I never thought to do that. Same fellow also never bought tickets half the time we rode together and never got caught for it. Hopefully the job treats you well, good luck with your adventures!
Hehe sounds about right. The best thing about being a conductor is that you have free pass on most trains, and heavy discounts on the others, so we travel cheap. Trenitalia also used to extend those discounts to members of the family, but now you only get those if you are either married with or a son/daughter of an employee.
Personally though I think the even better thing is that you get to wear a cool hat.
