Good morning!
I don't really have a good subject for this morning because I've woken up a lot later than usual, so I haven't been awake for nearly as long as I usually am most mornings before I start writing. I'm not eating my usual meal prep for breakfast this morning, because my family and I have been going to the local farmers market once a week and I got some GOODIES. Vanilla bean and honey greek yogurt, locally grown blueberries, CHAI SPICED GRANOLA (AHH!!). I threw it all into a bowl with banana, strawberry, and some warm peanut butter drizzled over. I'm so full already and I only ate half the bowl.
Thats one thing in adulthood I never knew would be so blissful. I wouldn't say my parents are the most unhealthy eaters, on the contrary, we eat veggies and stuff all the time. But we also get tons of not-very-good-for-you things. Like my dad has frozen breakfasts every morning, and like i get it, we have to leave every morning at 6:30am so he doesn't really have the time in the mornings. But those breakfasts would always make my stomach upset and make me grumpy for the first couple of hours in the morning at work. Now that I've been doing breakfast meal prep on either saturday or sunday, suddenly and very mysteriously I don't feel like shit in the mornings. I look forward to waking up, having my breakfast, and writing whatever stupid thoughts come to mind on this silly little blog of mine.
So easily, one of the biggest highlights of my week now has been going to the farmers market. Getting fresh ingredients and things that taste good and aren't super gnarly for your insides. I wouldn't say I'm a paragon of health and fitness, far from it, but it's nice to finally be getting started on the right track, and making my body crave healthier substitutions to my favorite things.
Although unfortunately triple chocolate ice-cream isn't getting any healthier. But it is still in my diet here and there, lol.
heres my yogurt bowl from this morning before i absolutely DECIMATED IT
