#5: one day lacy is gonna grow wings

sometimes you really do just need to spend time with your friends in summer. we watched fhe fireworks from the pool and got our hair wet while playing marco polo. i feel like a kid again. 4th of july always has a distinct burnt smell, but i haven't smelt it since i was a kid. im friends with people who love me now and i couldn't be happier. we had hotdogs and watermelon! very american summer.

i talked to my friend. she told me that my feelings were valid and i felt so seen. she walked me home and we watched the fireworks together i love her so much!

as i type this, my feet are asleep and im sitting on a chair in the living room, waiting for my grandma to go to bed. the sky is alight with dust but it looks pretty and i couldn't care less.
