Hiii ☆ミ i just finished watching Mixte (1963) and i kinda loved it ngl~
Gotta admit it (^-^;)... i started watching the show because of Vassili Schneider ☆彡
like... him with glasses?? (*/∀\*) hahaha~
anyways — i think the 60s setting was really well done ✧ it’s probably one of the best parts of the show ☆
i wish we saw more of Joseph (Vassili’s character) tho… they only used him when they needed some drama to stir things up ( ̄ヘ ̄;)
i wanna rewatch the whole thing, tbh~ there were parts i totally misunderstood at first bc i was studying for an exam while watching it lol (;・∀・)
for example: the relationship between Jean and Simone… OMG it felt so weird at first (×_×;)
i thought Simone was a first-year and Jean was about to graduate… and like… in Argentina that means 12 vs 17 years old?! i was totally against it lmao (´;ω;`)
the first time they kissed i was like “??? no way.”
i even thought “is this dude trying to take her v-card and ghost her after??” ☆ミ(*_ _)ノ
but turns out it was a real *she fell first but he fell harder* kinda love (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡
AND THAT SCENE... when Jean was super drunk and Simone walked him home〜
he didn’t wanna go back so he *literally threw himself on the ground like a spoiled kid at the supermarket* (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
then looked up at her with puppy eyes like (U_U*)
Simone was there like a tired mom: “get up. we’re going home.” (¬_¬)
she offered him her hand… and the *look* he gave her?! SO cheeky~ ( ≧Д≦)
ngl i would’ve taken him back right then and there LOL (〃▽〃)
anyway — really fun and entertaining show ♡
tried not to spoil too much, but i’d def recommend it if you like period dramas with teen vibes + themes like sexism and homophobia back in the day (╥﹏╥)
my only complaint? the way conflicts are solved is kinda dumb sometimes LOL
like that time Jean was gonna get expelled —
Michelle shows up like “pls don’t” and two seconds later the school nurse walks in like “he’s not getting expelled anymore” and that’s it?? (・_・;)
i was like… *seriously?* ok then lol
anyways… that’s my mini review~ ☆彡
