KARMA ALIEN STAGE REVIEW

-CONTAINING SPOILERS FOR ALIEN STAGE NEW EPISODE KARMA-

sooo i just watched Alien Stage Karma (and kept rewatching it for further details) also i will be talking abt how i viewed the story and writing of the episode

first of all the animation for this one was phenomenal, it really stood out for me compared to the other episodes (the only time i enjoyed the animation was for FINAL round ep) everything was so bright and vibrant yet so dark?? i really loved the colors looking much more vibrant!!

second of all the story is really wrapping itself up, during the beatdown scene where Mizi says "neither you and I deserve to be saved" is connected to the three scenes with the heart gem and the concept of love with how each Alnst pairing has one person dead, Mizi believes that she and Luka doesn't deserve to live since they aren't better people like Sua and Hyuna were since they did terrible things to hold onto their love for the other (Mizi believes her love for Sua caused Sua to prepare to die even tho she was the better half, Luka killed Hyunwoo so Hyuna's love could all be his but in the end Hyuna's love for him killed her)

It is also wraps perfectly with Till surviving in the end it shows that Ivan despite forcing his love onto Till he wanted Till to live on even if that meant they weren't together, becoming the one who got away in this pairing and Till being the 'true victor' of Alien Stage

In the end of the episode, there's a 7 year timeskip, we see clones of the main six (but their features are mixed??) and put on display for a museum as tribute to the final Alien Stage (smth the aliens deemed as a tragedy), at first i was a bit confused why they would do this considering they were supposed to act as the main six in a museum

my theory would be was that aliens couldn't fully replicate clones with just the original human's DNA, they needed both XX and XY chromosomes to create clones (also why they can't make adult clones), one of my biggest arguments would be that one of the clones had Luka's hair color, Hyuna's skin color and Sua's eye color, maybe having to share 3 different genes to support Luka's weaker one.

finally i wanna talk abt the song itself, i really enjoyed it i like the slower and melancholic vibe to it but it's so far not one of my top tens within the main songs or entirety of Alien Stage's discography (WIEGE, CURE and HEART still slams sorry) maybe it will change in the near future but so far the 3 i mentioned are my go-to ALNST songs

i rlly enjoyed watching this new episode + writing this review i hope to do more of these when i have free time outside writing my daily (atp it shouldn't be called daily </3)
