modern internet is ruining the social scene

think about it-- why are we all even here??

the nostalgia of a time a lot of us never experienced, probably. 

myspace is a thing of the past, and instead, there's instagram and twitter to help you dictate how you should feel based on what you're seeing and how others are feeling. it doesn't let you customize the crap out of your profile like u can on here!! individuality is essentially stripped and it makes it harder for ppl who are alt or have a diff. vibe to feel seen or expressed. 

not to mention, on insta you can't see someones interests and so much about their personality when u first click on their profile like u could with myspace. there's no status (even tho there's the "what are u thinking?" thing now), and u have to stalk their profile to see, when here a profile jumps out at u and is filled with stuff that makes up what a person likes. its freaking awesome to get to see what a person is like just by their profile. 

u might automatically click with someone based on the vibe of their layout, and u can msg them about it too@!!!!! insta and tiktok make it too hard for ppl to just reach out and become friends because of the isolation those platforms foster. it also takes away from maybe living in the moment, which i guess all social media does, but specifically if ur taking pics just to post. 

moral of the story, posting on stuff like insta can honestly make us less social in person. getting to let persojnality show on a site like this is so much better and you can talk to someone about it or friend them immediatelty. and, tbh, everyone loves the nostalgia too.
