Thoughts on A Flair For The Dramatic

First post, still trying to figure out how to use the site. Gonna post really basic thoughts on albums I like/listen to mostly for my own eyes lol but chime in if you want.

A Flair For The Dramatic - PTV

This is my favorite of their albums. Like most people I started with King For A Day, Bulls In The Bronx, Caraphernelia, etc. The hits made me get into the band. This album made me fall in love with them. After my first couple listens, I made pretty much everyone I knew listen even though most of them were not nearly as interested haha. 

Strengths: In general, the more raw and unpolished a project is, the more I like it. I tend to like the first albums of any band the most. There is a certain charm about Vic's young, sometimes pitchy vocals and the basic production.

Weaknesses: I don't find many honestly. Most of the weaker qualities about it are my favorites. That being said, the ambition mixed with their youth led to some (rare) iffy moments (i.e., the high note at the end of Wonderless lol). 

There's a reason I got a tattoo for this album. Glad I found it and glad I got to see some of the songs live this week.
