some spoilers abt the movie!! 

I feel like Jennifer isn't the villain in the movie and neither is needy. It might be a really like really hot take, ik. But, I feel like in some way Jennifer is a victim of something that is way beyond her just being sacrificed by low shoulder. At least to me, a victim of someone who's been exploited, and Been abused and the only reason why she's seen as 'evil' is because she doesn't fit the whole 'good victim' agenda yk? she isn't being all sad about it, yet she chooses to react with violence inflicted on men as she..obviously becomes a man eater cause of the failed sacrifice. She chooses to respond to her abuse negatively rather than being all postive with their reaction. 

But, because she chooses to harm men---either being ones who personally have affected her or not, she's seen as this bad person who does horrible things. Rather than someone who's responding to her own personal trauma with these actions. Plus, it's obvious how the event with low shoulder had changed her personally. For example, in the begining where you see Jennifer in her cheer uniform, spinning her flag--she's smiling at needy and waving at her, later on she even leans against a locker and invites needy out like any other friend, affectionatly calling her a nickname insted of blankly her name till later in the conversation.  But when she comes back, later in the scene where the teacher is talking about the fire at melody lane; Jennifer is dismissive on the whole event.

Just like when needy says "you're alright..?" she responds with a sorta dismissive answer as if needy had asked a ridiculous question with "yeah why wouldn't I be?" as if trying not to even really talk about what had happened to her---considering needy didn't know what happened in the forest till later. Along with Jennifer immedietly talking about needy being 'overeactive' and 'how she's always been overeactive since'. Before laughing and saying stuff like "it already won" when the the teacher says they wont let the fire win, and "___ate shit?" about a dead student with a smile.
