I just spent the last 3 hours and a half trying to hook up EVERYTHING all the tech basically

I decided "alright now that i have my new VCR/DVD burner recorder combo, i shall test to see if the VCR part works!" it ate two tapes instantly, thank god i decided to use my extra copies, they only cost me like 50 cents. still that was upsetting because i wanted to put youtube videos onto DVD, then onto VHS so i can have a youtuber on a full set of tapes. (it would be so cool.) So then i decide "oh i have an idea! what if i hook up the DVD/VHS to a regular VCR, then record the DVD part to that VCR!" that did not work, i tried every way, its either im going mad, my VCRs are not okay or my tv is too basic (only has one Video and one Audio input. no out.) so then i have another idea after hours of trying, "why dont i hook up my late 2000s tv to my VCR, go to youtube, find that youtubers videos from there, and record like that??" Keep in mind im slowly going insane. when i played a tape to see if worked, it was either i get sound, or i get black and white video. what the fuck? okay. I say to myself. Lets try this another way. one more youtube video to search, then i'll leave this alone for today. I search whats the easiest way to hook them up and its wither i buy a fucking Roku tv or i get an antenna cable. I'm broke and all the stores are closed right now cause its 7pm. Omg I am losing  my mind, all i want, is to put some silly ass youtuber on the tapes to watch, and as a humorous joke. maybe im getting a little worked up about this, but i havent eaten a thing besides a can of soup and 1/3 of a bowl of cereal cause all i could think about was waiting for it to arrive on my doorstep, and getting that thing to work. Well, I can't complain to much, it should be fixable, and i got it for free. I just had to let this all out, or else i'll think about it all night. thank you for listening to my rant lol.
