Help: HAM Radios, Antenna Tuner, and Antenna Positions

My dad has a HAM radio, specifically an IC-7300

I know a few things about it. The big knob is to change the channels/frequency, TWIN PBT is to adjust the coherency, how to power it on(and the wires), AF RF/SQL is for the volume and audio, and the microphone.

The antenna is a Buddipole, and I have an ATU-100 EXT 1.8-55MHz 100w Antenna tuner.

I know how to charge the antenna tuner anf power it on… other than than i’m a newbie. How do i adjust it? What are the selections, and what are the other buttons?

With the other buttons I didn’t mention on the HAM radio, what are those and what do those do?

Also, my father said that if I don’t align the tuning with the antenna and the radio, a component will burn inside tje radio. This is also related to the question i had to the ATU, how do I adjust it properly?

For my last question, my father told me that the Buddipole is able to be repositioned into ways so I can reacj different channels too. What positions are there?

I am new to HAM radios, I want to learn how to work with it. If someone knows anything about them please tell me! And lend me some youtube links, too?

seems fun, maybe I can try to hear UVB-76 or something, or is that SDR? I think those are the same thing

ham radios are surprisingly easy to work with! maybe it's because of the type my dad has. it has a few buttons, but works pretty well
