my title might be a little misleading bc i do understand that in certain situations the best possible way to go about something is by being more laid back, however I hate that it's almost encouraged to act as if u dont gaf even if that isn't how u rlly feel. Its just crazy to think ab all the miscommunications that could be avoided if ppl were js taught that it is cool to express urself and be who u are (for ur pride 😛). anyway this mindset does seem to be dying down (from what I can see) so I can only hope it'll get better from here :).

When you get older being nonchalant just starts to creep up on you

You can thank the fear of embarrassing yourself and not being seen as a complete weirdo for this epidemic... however the older ive gotten, the more i realize that fear is a dumb one
thats such a great point, the increase in social media hasn’t made the fear of embarrassment any better either bc now ur mishaps might end up online :(
