My trip to Argentina (Experience and tips)

My Trip to Argentina – Snow, Music, and Pure Beauty

Okay soooo… I got back from Argentina and I have nothing but ✨good things✨ to say. Like, everything was genuinely amazing. The people, the places, the prices (everything was cheap, thank GOD), and the vibe? 10/10.

If you’re thinking about visiting the south of Argentina—specifically Bariloche, San Martín de los Andes, Villa La Angostura, and the Chapelco area—this is your sign to GO.

🌨️ So. Much. Snow.

Let’s start with the obvious: snow everywhere! It looked straight out of a movie. Snowy trees, mountain views, cozy cabins—it was like being in a winter dream. Whether you're a snow person or not, you will fall in love with the scenery. Trust me.

Bariloche, San Martín, and Villa La Angostura = Pure Magic

Each place had its own vibe, and I loved all of them.

  • Bariloche: Great mix of mountains and city. Tons of places to eat, beautiful views, and cool street energy.

  • San Martín de los Andes: Honestly one of the most beautiful towns I’ve ever seen. Super peaceful but full of life.

  • Villa La Angostura: Small but stunning. You’ll find cozy cafés, friendly people, and the kind of views you only see on postcards.

Everywhere we went had this magical winter charm—and the best part? It was all super affordable. Food, transportation, activities—everything was way cheaper than I expected (which made it even more fun 😂).

Music, Art & Beautiful People

One of my favorite parts? The street artists. Everywhere we went there were musicians playing in the streets—live guitar, violins, singing, even people dancing in public squares. It gave every town this warm, welcoming, and artistic feel.

And the people? So nice. So friendly. So hot. I'm not even joking, everyone was attractive and dressed like they belonged in a Patagonia photoshoot 😍

Chachín Waterfall Hike

If you like nature and light hiking, go to Chachín Waterfall. It's one of those hikes that’s not too long or hard, and the reward at the end is just wow. The waterfall is huge, loud, and beautiful—like one of those spots that makes you just stand there in awe for a second.

Perfect for photos, peaceful for the soul, and honestly a must-do.

🎿 Chapelco Ski Resort

I also got to visit the Chapelco Ski Resort and it was amazing. It’s super well-organized, the staff were all so helpful and sweet, and the whole place had this fun, energetic vibe. Whether you ski or just wanna chill in the snow and take pics—it’s worth going.

🛷 Final Thoughts

Argentina’s Patagonia area is STUNNING. I couldn’t believe how much I saw in such a short time. Snowy mountains, magical forests, beautiful lakes, artistic towns, and warm people. I’d 100% go again, maybe even stay longer next time.

So yeah, if you’re looking for:

✅ Beautiful views
✅ Affordable everything
✅ Snow + nature
✅ Chill cities with culture and music
✅ Friendly (and hot) locals

Argentina’s got you.

The only bad thing? The house I rented didn’t have Wi-Fi, which was kinda annoying. Otherwise, everything was perfect!
