So recently, I listened to the full album Sibérie m'était contéee by Manu Chao and GOD DO I LOVE IT.

Basically, I believe there are two type of songs in this album. Firstly, more serious, songs "for adults" like Te Tromper or La Valse à Sale Temps wich talks about more serious topics like infidelity, loniless or sex. In this style, I really like Les milles pailettes as it's well written and I like how you can interpret it like "It's sad and lonely but back then it was very happy with 'drums and trumpets'".
And then, others songs are more happy and towards children, with happy sounds. Like samples from french or african music like I could've heard in some DVD when I was younger. Even the lyrics, the facts that some of thelm praticaly mean nothing like in "Petite blonde du boulevard brune", it reminds me when I didn't understand no shit of some books when I was crazy young.
At the end of the day, I specially love the sincerity of this album. Comparing it to Proxima Estacion Esperanza (wich is great btw), I feel much closer to it as I feel more connected to it. Maybe it's the fact that it's exclusively in french. But I prefer to say it's because it reminds me of my childhood and emotions I already had.
