Remembering Michael ~ 6.25.25

It's been 16 years since one of the greatest entertainers and musical geniuses of our time, and the purest of people sadly passed on. In 2009, I was less than a year old then, unaware of my own existence or the world around me. It was just a day before my birthday. While I was busy being a baby, the world was in chaos and disarray due to Michael's passing. He was a humanitarian, a musical prodigy, and a master at his craft. MJ has left a huge impact on me, many others, and the world. Despite his humanitarian contributions and kindness, he was treated as if he wasn't human. He was and continues to be constantly berated by the tabloids, haters, false accusers (liars), and media. Even through his trials and tribulations, he remained kind and continued to give through his music and contributions to the world. I will never understand how anyone can hate such a pure and kind-hearted person like him. I am writing this and honoring him from a genuine and loving place in my heart, and not from a place of unhealthy parasocialism.

Even though I never knew or met him, he means so much to me and lots of people, and we love him, just as much as he loved us.

To any hateful people potentially reading this, you don't have to be a fan to have decency and respect for another human. At the very least, please look inside yourself and dissect your hatred. And for anyone who believes the false allegations, please educate yourself, and do thorough research.

"Before you judge me, try hard to love me."

"In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. In a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe."

"I'm just like anyone else. I cut and bleed, and I embarrass easily."

"We have to heal our wounded world. The chaos, despair, and senseless destruction we see today are a result of the alienation that people feel from each other and their environment."

"To me, nothing is more important than making people happy, giving them a release, from their problems and worries, helping to lighten their load."

"I feel guilty when I have dinner or breakfast because I realize how many people don't have those simple things that we so much take for granted. And people, they sit at the table and they pray and all that, which is beautiful, but to do something is the thing - you have to act. So, I think it's important to help out as much as you can. If one person just helps one child, just help one child, they've done so much. And if you can do that, it'd be beautiful. Just to help one person would be a lot, a big step forward, because there's a lot to be done. Children all over the world are in such need."

His words, even when he was in pain - Six weeks before his passing.

"My performances will be up there helping my children and always be my dream. I love them. I love them because I didn't have a childhood. I had no childhood. I feel their pain. I feel their hurt. I can deal with it. 'Heal the world,' 'We are the world,' 'Will you be there,' 'The Lost Children - these are the songs I've written because I hurt, you know, I hurt."
