Buying clothes is difficult now

So as a babybat i’m noticing that prizes online are being higher than ever…i’m trying to use depop and the shipping price is a bit high honestly…besides going to physical shops…can someone suggest some cheap alternative (NO FAST FASHION)

In my opinion, the best solution is to make it diy. You can learn some basics for modifying or making clothes. Skirts are easy to make! You can buy textile paint to make designs among other objects to customize, if you don't have the patience or the taste for sewing you could get a local seamstress although I don't know how expensive that would be where you are :)

thank you so much for the answer! I already do diy! Sometimes it’s not possible especially on old clothes (that i donate)! I’ll try new methods for diy! I was just curious if there are any cheaper alternatives for Depop, since i was scammed and i accidentally bought something on a fast fashion website… Anyways thanks for your kind response 🙏🏻🖤

You can build some pretty solid goth fits without having to spend a fortune on anything explicitly branded as "goth." A lot of old school goths in the 80s didn’t have access to any subculture-specific brands either, they thrifted, cut stuff up, safety-pinned everything together, painted over jackets, and just made it work. That’s what made it so individual and untouchable.
You can create full looks using basic pieces from secondhand stores, military surplus, even "normie" shops if you know what you're doing. The key is styling. So like, layering, accessorizing, textures. Add fishnets, studs, cool fabrics, oversized coats, dramatic makeup, all of that changes the context of the outfit. And if you’re handy at all with sewing, painting, or distressing fabric, DIY becomes your best weapon. You can also try buying from Vinted, if it works in your country. 🖤

thank you so much for your answer! I already do diy! For example i painted a pair of shoes that my mum didn’t really like lol! i especially do diy on clothes that i don’t fit my style anymore or old clothes (if they don’t fit my size i usually donate them). But i’ll try new methods for diy! I tried Vinted but i didn’t like it very much…i’ll try other shops, especially physical ones. Thanks again for your kind response 🖤
