Poser men are ruining the space

This site is pretty dead so I feel comfortable to start conversation, unlike TikTok or twitter where I would be dog piled. I am not a writer I am just a teen girl in her room if my grammar is off oh well.

It's no secret cringe culture has killed individuality but are we ready for the conversation that the sentiment of cringe culture was rooted in ableism, bigotry, we can talk about how the rise of conservatism is affecting subcultures and making nonsense terms like '"clean goth", but I want to expose the real problem. 

We all know our posers, mince core, y2k Shein trash, scene core, older brother core, but as I said, people who want to copy our styles, I have noticed such an uproar in people that look TOTALLY emo and get offended or even laugh at emo kids and bully them, for the most part it's "emo rap" listeners playboy carti fans any underground rap fans and com girls and full shade guys that shop at Zumiez.

I personally have been harassed by these individuals for even asking what subculture they are presenting themselves as, and my favorite encounter I asked a girl if she wanted to be friends, and she immediately revealed that she was homophobic and said the three BIGGEST slurs you can think of if that doesn't prove there is a poser INFESTATION.

Let's talk about performative alternative guys who are just trying to get a ''goth mommy'' ''emo baddie'' all of the slop they throw around, treating girls with piercings and tattoos like objects. They aren't willing to go any further than wear a black shirt and some Tripp pants, maybe listen to nirvana ''emo rap'' and carti.

All "alternative" guys listen to rap and metal, TikTok shoe gaze and some honorary actually ''alternative'' bands depending on what they pretend to be. I feel like maybe I'm being too harsh because maybe this occurs because of toxic masculinity, it seems men all listen to underground rap and shoegaze, maybe I'm making an observation as if someone said "All women listen to Lana del rey" in that case I would say well yes because she's inescapable and generally likeable shes very easy to get behind so maybe all men like carti idk nor do I care.

Here's the point though, I'm not just describing the trends with music, these ''alternative'' men only have 3 approved haircuts wolf cuts same length all around long hair, and buzzcut. The clothes are the same on all of them baggy pants the ugliest affliction shirts and forget painted nails or guyliner.

This isn't even toxic masculinity anymore it's completely the rise of conservative ideology. As a girl that grew up in the early 2010s it's just completely mind boggling to me. I feel like it was just yesterday I saw couples in the mall with matching gauges matching hair and matching EYELINER. yes, we do have MODERN alternative trends still I see couples with matching 0 septum all the time. The fact that my dreams were crushed by cringe culture and some losers that made brain rot music popular makes me want to bash my head in. Nonetheless inaudible lyrics and noise music are a staple in scene music do these guys know they can listen to something so similar? or do they just care about impressing their other male friends with their shitty music. Actually, maybe they shouldn't know about that, because they would ACTTUALLY get girls.

In another life I am at a mall food court in 2007, matching racoon tails, matching studded belts matching eyeliner and matching black nail polish, matching converse, matching piercing set up. matching side part, my hair is teased to hell and back, my bag is covered in keychains, my wrist is covered with cuffs and rubber band bracelets up to my elbows. And all is well, I've never heard a guy say emo huzz to me, all I know is passing notes in class, matching status on AOL dedicating song lyrics to each other and being pinned as his best friend on myspace. It could be just romanticization but I would do anything to experience that life with how things are now. 

For now, I am in living hell of posers messaging me, toxic masculinity plaguing all my relationships, harassment from guys, my dm requests full of affliction male manipulators, and Edgers and especially being called ''emo huzz''. I am so beyond frustrated you have no idea that's it if I go on any longer, I will have written a book I am filled with so much anger over this.
