Karma and revenge

There’s no such thing as karma or revenge.

The bad things that happen to someone who did bad things to you aren’t linked to eachother, and to think that they are linked show that you’ve never moved on.

They are two completely separate events and you’re not a good person for thinking that anyone deserves pain inflicted on them, even if they once inflicted pain on you.

Same goes for revenge. For example: you get beaten up by a girl, and two days later, you take ‘revenge’ and beat her up. Those two actions aren’t linked to eachother.

You’re just as bad for beating that girl up as she is for beating you up, therefore by those rules, that girl deserves to take revenge as well by beating you up again. See how that spirals into an endless loop?

Your revenge is not a consequence of what they did to you, because you have free will. You’re not a mindless thing that goes into action because something else put it into action, you can choose whatever action you want to do, regardless of anything else.

Revenge doesn’t exist and to believe in karma is egocentric.

question, is getting arrested for a crime not connected to the crime then? and the court is just as bad to imprison someone as the person was to do the crime in the first place?

Receiving a punishment for a crime is justice, not karma or revenge. The criminal gets the punishment based off of facts, the court is not allowed to involve their own emotions in a case in the way that people involve their emotions in revenge.
