I've been playing on my 3ds again recently and its a lot of fun but they made it so bad. I used to love going to the island and meeting new people but they disable it so you cant even do that anymore. The dream service is disabled so you have a whole building with no purpose. You cant even play Mario kart with other people anymore its so sad.
And, you cant even download stuff on the eShop anymore like T_T. I hate companies making their older devices worse so people with spend more money on their new devices like its just so fucking greedy and cruel. Like why would I buy the switch 2 that I wouldn't even own and cant make any changes to just because its "better" like no I'm not doing that shit. AND THE PHYSICAL GAMES YOU CAN BUY ARENT EVEN EVEN WORTH IT. WHY WOULD I PAY FOR A PIECE OF PAPER??

I plan on buying a 2004 original model DS at some point (maybe as a 19th birthday present to myself or something) and I will certainly keep this in mind when I do finally get my hands it.
Also, fuck the Switch and Switch 2 (and just modern game consoles in general)!!!

mod it, create a pretendo account (custom nintendo server), get the nimbus app to use pretendo servers. you can play online again afterwards.

just follow the instructions and you won't brick it. it's quite easy and i've done it on 3 systems so far.
