Do you believe in spirits?

Since I was little, I've experienced a lot of paranormal events, and some of my family members and friends have too.

I'm not part of any religion, but I believe in heaven and hell, and in the posibility that when someone dies, their soul, energy or emotions can remain on earth.

I think that if someone dies a natural death without suffering, their soul becomes free. But if somene dies in pain, the feeling of agony, anger or distress stay behind.

That's why I believe most of the paranormal events are negative, because the spirit is constantly reliving that suffering.

Maybe this doesn't make sense to some people, but I have a lot of respect for these things.

i definitely believe! ive experienced too much not to (although some of it i wonder if it was my mental illnesses or whatever, but when other people also experienced stuff at the same time as me, then im more sure that it was real)

emotions have real energy to them and like you said, if enough of that energy gets left behind in the walls, floors, ground, trees, whatever, it has to leak back out at some point! i think thats where residual hauntings come from. just past energy, nothing conscious or aware

and if somebody dies really quickly, or in a really disorienting/confusing way, they might not know they died and stick around because of that

then theres the spirits that simply dont want to leave, for whatever reason. maybe out of anger or sadness, or just preferring to stay in the place that they felt happiest, or to watch over family or friends that are still alive

i looove walking down the road to the cemetery, there are so many old graves from the early-late 1800s, some of them have been buried, one has a tree growing around it even. one that was partially buried by dirt and moss and leaves, i uncovered it and started keeping it clean, and then the caretakers lifted it out of the ground shortly after (but they havent set it again yet, and its been over a year). her name was sarah and i always feel so much comfort when i sit by her grave and talk to her ^_^ i feel like she appreciates my company and that i uncovered her gravestone for her, so people could see her name and know who she was again

I agree with you.
I've never been on a cementery, but I would like to
