life update/ramble?

okay so i ran into that guitarist's gf at a local show and i asked her abt the dude. long story short, through that interaction i may have some motion again with getting a group going. i contacted the guy again and i really hope i can actually get somewhere. im tired of dreaming of being a frontman/singer for a band and i want to actually do it, especially cause my local scene in my town is so dead and i have to travel at least an hour away to go see anything cool!!!! gas be hella expensive1!1!!1

besides that im getting back into playing MTG cause im a huge final fantasy nerd and i used to play MTG back in high school a bit so ive been fiending over this new set. ive been ripping packs and deck building to get back into the hobby but i do have an issue with the new set. there are so many busted commanders and wtf is wrong with CACTAUR LIKE WTH!!!!! +9999/0 ????????? TAG THAT WITH TRAMPLE AND OR ANOTHER INSTANT CARD THAT INCREASES YOUR LIFE EQUAL TO A CREATURE'S POWER ???? LIKE ITS SO BUSTED; im sure theres plenty of ways to counter it but the fact that in an instant your game will end cause its like turn 5 and you cant pull a single counter spell is so dumb. on the brightside my personal binder/collection of the mtg set is coming along pretty nicely (even tho i think theres like 1000+ individual cards??). ive been having a lot of fun with the new set
