Confessions of an Ex Band Kid #7: Band Camp

Throughout this series I will be calling the band director Mr. C or C!! I played flute!!

Band camp just started today... I already regret deciding to come back. It was absolutely HELL!!  I had to get up at 4am after going to bed at 3am!! I met a new person though (I'll call him X) and he also plays flute and likes theatre music!! So new friend!!

The Blond (Click here if you don't already know who that is) still likes me, and he's still trying. I appreciate the kindness, but I am TAKEN!! Like, I'll be your friend 'cause you're cool, but I am not gonna risk what I have for you. I don't mind being around him, and he doesn't make me uncomfortable.

Back to complaining about actual band camp!! The exercises were way too much... I should not have to do push-ups on sharp rocks when my wrist is already in pain. Mr. C also made us all do 25 push-ups later for being on our phones when he said we could have a break!! What the hell?

We're also only gonna play at one away game this year (ans that one's still not guaranteed)!! Away games are the best part of football season and football season is the best part of band!! AND WE ONLY GET ONE??

So, that's my yap. I have to go there Monday-Friday for the next 2 weeks, so there will most likely be a part 2...
