WHY DO PEOPLE ACT LIKE IT'S EMBARRASSING TO CARE ABOUT THINGS?

Okay, random thought of the day, but I've been thinking about how weird it is that people act like caring about stuff is embarrassing. Like you can't be too excited about something without getting clowned for it. Whether it's a band, a movie, a game, a weird niche hobby - If you show actual passion, someone will act like that's cringey.

Why though?

Like why is it cooler to act bored and unbothered than to actually love something?? I don't get it. Some people will deadass sit there like ''ugh that's so lame'' while putting zero energy into anything in their own life. Meanwhile, someone's out there building cosplays, making fan art, writing long essays about lore, or just straight-up geeking out over something - and suddenly they're ''doing too much''

Nah. You know what's lame? Being afraid to care.

Let people be obsessed. Let them talk about the thing they've watched 10 times. Let them show up to concerts in full outfits. Let them scream about their favorite book character dying (again). That's what makes life fun. Passion makes things better.

So yeah, if you're excited about something, talk about it. Be annoying if you have to. I'd rather be ''too much'' than feel nothing.
